The Work, the Area, and What We'll Tell You Straight

What We Will Not Do

We don't sell you a new opener because it's easier than diagnosing a bad sensor. We don't quote a job over the phone without seeing the door - torsion springs, cables, and track alignment all hide problems that a photo text can't show. We won't tell you a door needs replacing when a $40 roller set and a lubed track will get you another decade out of it, especially on the 1980s and 90s stock that makes up a lot of the housing around here per the area's building history.

We also don't carry every obscure part on the truck. If your opener is an older model with a discontinued circuit board, we'll tell you that up front instead of stringing out a repair that isn't going to hold. Sometimes the honest answer is "order the part and we'll come back," not a patched fix that fails again in six months. We'd rather lose an hour of your time now than have you calling back frustrated.

We don't do cosmetic upsells either - if your panel is dented but the door runs fine, we'll say so instead of pushing a full replacement.

What We Actually Do

Springs, cables, rollers, openers, tracks, and panels - the parts that actually fail on a residential garage door. Housing in this area was mostly built between 1965 and 2010, with the median landing around 1984, so a good share of the doors we open up still have original torsion hardware or a first-generation chain-drive opener bolted to the same bracket since install. That means a lot of our calls are spring replacements on doors that have never been serviced, not fancy diagnostics.

We cover Lexington and work out to the surrounding communities - Oak Grove and Red Bank about four miles out, Seven Oaks at six, Springdale at seven, South Congaree and Irmo around eight, Lake Murray of Richland at nine, Pine Ridge at ten, Gilbert and Cayce near eleven, Chapin, Gaston, Forest Acres, and Pelion at fourteen, Dentsville at sixteen, Woodfield at seventeen, Batesburg-Leesville and Swansea around eighteen to nineteen, Blythewood at twenty, and Leesville eighteen miles west-southwest. The job doesn't change much house to house - it's the same springs, same opener brands, same worn rollers - but knowing the stock on your side of town saves a trip for the wrong part.

Who Turns Up

Across the service area, there are roughly 56,302 households and about 30,144 owner-occupied houses, which means most of the doors we work on belong to someone who's going to live with the fix for years, not flip the house next spring. With a median household income here around $64,003, most calls are about getting a door working right without pushing toward the priciest option on the shelf - a repair that actually holds beats a sale that pads the invoice.

You can reach us at (803) 455-4317 or find us at 955 E Main St, Lexington, SC 29072. We show up, look at the actual door in front of us, and tell you what it needs - spring, cable, roller, or opener board - and what it doesn't. No guesswork on the phone, no quote before we've seen the hardware.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work outside Lexington itself?

Yes. We cover the surrounding area out to roughly twenty miles, including Oak Grove, Red Bank, Seven Oaks, Irmo, Chapin, Gaston, Swansea, and Leesville. Call ahead if you're near the edge of that range so we can plan the route.

My opener is old - can you still fix it?

Often yes, especially the chain-drive units common in houses built in the 1980s and 90s around here. If a part is discontinued, we'll tell you and give you the honest choice between ordering it or replacing the opener.

Will you tell me if I don't need a repair?

Yes. If the problem is a $40 part - a roller, a sensor alignment - we'll say that instead of recommending a bigger job. We'd rather you call us again next time than feel oversold this time.
